Do you have half an hour to spare in the morning or afternoon?

If so, we’re looking for a School Crossing Patrol who wants to make a difference to the local community at Baffam Lane, outside St Marys RC Primary School, Selby. Ideally you would cover both the morning and afternoon duties, but if you can't work both, we can offer flexibility and would still be interested in hearing from you if you can only commit to one duty a day.

The Role

Duty times: 08:20 - 09:00 and 14:55 – 15:25 Monday- Friday   

Our school crossing patrols provide a valuable service to the local community by ensuring that children and adults can cross the road safely on their route to and from school.

Your duties will include:

• Ensure safe road crossing for children and pedestrians during patrol times
• Stop traffic using the official ‘STOP’ sign
• Conduct pre-duty health and safety checks of the crossing site
• Report any hazards, equipment issues, or site concerns to the Patrol Officer
• Wear and maintain approved uniform and equipment
