Responsible for the management of the highway network in accordance with the Highways Act 1980 to ensure that the highway is maintained in a safe and accessible condition.

To manage the condition surveys of the highway network.

Maintain the asset management software systems and assist in the development and maintenance of the Highways Asset Management Plan and associated policies.

To take responsibility for the development of the annual capital works programme in accordance with given priorities and resources.
