Suffolk County Council is a forward-thinking authority committed to innovation, sustainability, and  delivering high-quality care. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Assistant Director to lead integrated commissioning and contracts across adult social care and health services.

This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll drive transformation by shaping market options and commissioning outcome-based services that promote independence, personalisation, and value for money. You’ll work closely with the NHS Integrated Care Board, local providers, and the voluntary and independent care sectors to deliver joined-up, person-centred care solutions that meet the evolving needs of Suffolk’s communities.

You’ll lead a team responsible for developing and managing local care providers, embedding a culture of innovation, efficiency and co-production. The role will also support the evolution of integrated commissioning across adult and children’s services, public health and preventative care. We’re looking for someone with experience in adult social care, commissioning, and contract management, who brings a strong commitment to collaboration and service transformation.
