The Estates Team includes highly experienced property professionals providing estates and asset management services to a range of clients and have been doing so for over 25 years. We are a strategic partner to a number of Local Authorities delivered through our joint venture model and deliver services through a range of contract types, with the aim of understanding and delivering the needs of our clients.

As Associate Surveyor you will be responsible for supporting the Associate Director in managing property professional and technical staff specialising in property management, in addition to managing your own caseload in accordance with initiatives and directives whilst maintaining outputs of appropriate quality and working in accordance with the Group's values.

* The day-to-day work is varied but the main responsibilities for the Associate Surveyor role will include:
* Providing effective day to day management and providing robust performance management for the wider estates team.
* Working in conjunction with all clients developing, implementing and monitoring property strategies in accordance with the client's corporate plans.
* Liaising with clients in support of Valuation and Estates Management initiatives and managing an active asset valuation programme.
* Assisting in monitoring the income and expenditure of the teams continually striving for best practice.
* Providing proactive and responsive strategic advice to clients on all property issues.
* Identifying new business opportunities.
* Fee earning at 90% and contributing to the achievement of Estates business plan objectives and targets.
* Complying with the Group ISO standards, delivering quality assured outputs.
* Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the grade of the post including frequent travel to other offices as required.

Our Successful Candidate

* It is expected that you will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Chartered Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an Estates related discipline.
* Significant relevant experience with at least 5 - 10 years post qualification
* Previous experience in managing a Team and/or management responsibilities
* Ideally experience of having worked within a Local Authority
* Have an understanding of or preferably direct Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) and asset valuation experience
* Full UK Driving Licence
