About the Role:
- An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safeguarding Business Support Team Leader within the Children & Young People’s Directorate. This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will lead a team of Business Support staff, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, confidential, and responsive administrative service that supports safeguarding functions across the Council.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day line management and supervision of Business Support staff
- Ensure a reliable, efficient, and confidential business support service is delivered
- Manage workloads and priorities to meet service demands
- Support the recruitment, training, and development of staff
- Work closely with Business Support Managers to improve systems and processes
- Respond to urgent requests and changing service needs effectively
- Liaise with internal departments and stakeholders across the Council
- Accurately record and produce minutes for meetings within tight deadlines
