We are seeking our first ever Director of Public Health and Communities, following a recent decision to create separate public health functions for BCP Council and Dorset Council, disaggregating the current pan-Dorset shared service. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and lead the development of aspirational and empowering public health and community services across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, enhancing residents’ health and well-being, mitigating health inequalities, and safeguarding local communities.

You will be a dynamic Public Health professional and an inspirational, highly effective and visible leader. You must also be on the GMC Specialist Register/GDC Specialist List or UK Voluntary Register for Public Health Specialists and demonstrate expertise in the Faculty of Public Health Competencies.
