Delivering change in Cheshire East
Cheshire East is a big borough with huge potential. Home to 400,000 people, it’s a place with fantastic assets, great connectivity and serious economic clout. With a new Chief Executive, Leader and Deputy Leader appointed in 2024, the council has embarked on a major reset to ensure our financial sustainability and protect essential services - creating a council that is fit for the future and that can continue to deliver our ambitions for the borough.
It’s an exciting time in children’s services with a new permanent senior leadership team in place, and we are now seeking a Director of Quality, Partnerships and Commissioning to complete our top team. Reporting to the Executive Director for Children’s Services, the postholder will play a vital role in the senior team, leading an exciting range of services including quality assurance, multi-agency safeguarding partnerships and integrated commissioning.
The role will also lead on arrangements for statutory inspection and provide strategic leadership on service improvement initiatives including managing, supporting and coordinating the activities of the Children’s Services Improvement Board.
We are seeking candidates with a social work qualification who will bring energy and commitment to transforming children’s services and who are dedicated to delivering the best outcomes for children and families across Cheshire East, working alongside our partners. We know we have a challenging journey ahead of us – but we are already seeing success and we are excited about the opportunities ahead.
