Delivering change in Cheshire East
Cheshire East is a big borough with huge potential. Home to 400,000 people, it’s a place with fantastic assets, great connectivity and serious economic clout. With a new Chief Executive, Leader and Deputy Leader appointed in 2024, the council is embarking on a major reset to ensure our financial sustainability and protect essential services - creating a council that is fit for the future and that can continue to deliver our ambitions for the borough.
Reporting to the Executive Director for Children’s Services, our new Director of Quality, Partnerships and Commissioning will play a key role in the Children’s Services senior leadership team, leading a portfolio of services including quality assurance, integrated commissioning and multi-agency safeguarding partnerships.
The role will also lead on arrangements for statutory inspection and provide strategic leadership on service improvement initiatives including managing, supporting and coordinating the activities of the Children’s Services Improvement Board
We are seeking candidates who are social work qualified, who will bring energy and commitment to the council and who can demonstrate they can improve and transform services for our children and families through internal and external partnership working and strong quality assurance.
We know we have a challenging journey ahead of us – but the building blocks are in place and we are determined to emerge as a stronger and more innovative council, with the right people and the right structure.
