An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the health and safety enforcement team at Sheffield City Council. Sheffield is a growing and ambitious city, diverse, not only in it's culture but in it's varied and unique geography.

Sheffield hosts many major music and sporting events throughout the year including Tramlines with over 40k attendees each day.

We are looking for a flexible, motivated enthusiastic team player to join the existing team. The team is  busy, friendly and professional involved in a range of health and safety enforcement. You will be involved in the events and licencing part of the team acting as the responsible authority for public safety under The Licencing Act. You will deal with licencing applications, temporary event notifications attend site meetings and representation at licencing committees.

You will investigate accidents and service requests at licenced premises including investigations under smoke free legislation, and other health and safety interventions when required.

Holding a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent you will have experience of enforcement, report writing, serving of notices and taking legal proceedings.

The post is a hybrid role with the office base being Howden House in the city centre.

A clean driving licence and access to a car is essential for this post.
