Up to £34,017 per annum

This position will be, in line with current government guidance based from home. However, if / when government guidelines change the role may then revert to being office based, whilst retaining some flexible working options in line with Essex County Council mobile flexible working policy.
The Finance Systems Lead will manage a Finance Systems Administration team within the wider My Oracle Support model. Supporting the performance of technical processing, managing systems timetables, reporting and Business Intelligence developments, upgrades and patches as well as incidents, issue resolution and integrity checks on financial systems.
The role will be part of a wider systems support function and will require collaborative working to resolve issues and ensure wide system governance in order that the integrity of the system is maintained across the Council.
The role requires a good understanding of change and release processes and the ability to communicate with key stakeholders when translating complex systems issues. The role will be expected to understand how processes/issues impact end users of the various Finance Systems and respond accordingly with resolutions.
The role will require some commercial acumen and the ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers and customers.

This position will initially, in line with current government guidance, be based from home.
