This is a rare opportunity to join the City of Doncaster’s Health and Safety team. You will work with the Corporate Safety & Training Manager, and the training team to develop and deliver the Council’s H&S strategy. The strategy aims to ensure that all staff and external partners have access to suitable, high quality and appropriate H&S training; your role will be to deliver and meet these needs and to develop new training packages, whilst keeping up to date with H&S developments/legislation. All training is designed to ensure compliance with legislation and with the aim of reducing risk as far as practicable for the council, schools, contractors, and the public.
The successful post holder will develop, review and deliver both general and bespoke training across while promoting a positive H&S culture and ensuring statutory compliance.
The successful applicant will have significant experience of successfully developing and delivering high quality training in a complex and multi-disciplined environment, along with knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation. The ability to be flexible and provide practical and creative solutions to training needs is essential in this role.
