The City of York Council’s Housing Delivery Team and Building Services Team have an exciting opportunity for a Housing PMO Officer to join us.
This role will provide a project management office function for all Capital and Housing investment programmes in the Housing team, including to help us to deliver pioneering and sustainable newbuild housing with the Housing Delivery Team and support the Building Services Team to deliver safe, well maintained and modernised homes and neighbourhoods for existing council houses.
The role will work across multiple projects and programmes of work, helping to deliver efficient, effective and coordinated investments in assets. These investments make a significant impact on the quality of life of York’s residents and are also create new places to live which are inclusive, healthy, and good for the environment.
We are looking for someone who is organised and proactive to work effectively with Project Managers and other Officers to lead on developing and implementing Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices and standards and fundamentally embed good practice within the teams.
You will be able to undertake regular healthchecks in the teams’ folder structures and monitor our performance against targets.
You will also support the efficient running of our Housing Delivery and Asset Management Board completing associated actions. Establishing processes for both internal and external audits.
You will have a pragmatic and flexible approach to problem solving, a strong attention to detail and be proactive and self-motivated.

This post is a hybrid home working and office working post. The office is at West Offices, York and Hazel Court, York.
Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
