The Early Help and Family Engagement Service provide practical help and advice to support families and their children to achieve their full potential. The Service builds on the family's strengths and offers support as soon as a need is identified and aims to prevent issues from escalating into bigger problems and higher level statutory services. The Service supports families with children aged 0-19yrs or 25yrs with a disability and works with the whole family, in partnership, to identify the best possible solutions to issues that they might be experiencing. The Service offers a variety of support to meet the needs of children and families.

 

The Outreach and Engagement Worker (HAF) is to work alongside the Senior Practitioner for HAF (Healthy Activities and Food Programme) to effectively plan, manage and monitor the Rotherham Healthy Holidays Programme.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual with expertise in multi-agency partnership working and experience of assisting project delivery including possible experience of small grants processes.

You will be responsible for the locality coordination of Rotherham's Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) under the leadership of the Senior Practitioner for HAF.  You will work with colleagues and partners to deliver a needs-led activity and food offer for children, young people and families, targeted at those children eligible for Free School Meals.

You will work collaboratively with internal departments as well as the voluntary and community sector to assist the effective and efficient delivery of the HAF grants, their monitoring and evaluation and their inclusion of children and young people’s views.

You will be a highly skilled practitioner and able to work flexibly, engaging face to face with organisations, children, young people, and families to increase their participation in the programme. Also, a high level of administrative, organisational and project management skills will be needed to be effective in this post.
