We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our multi-disciplinary Public Health Division in a Public Health Service Lead role. The Public Health Division is engaged in a dynamic and diverse range of innovative work at a local, regional, national and international level.
This full-time permanent position will be within the Population – Knowledge Team. This team leads on providing and building capacity in analytical and statistical analysis that will support the delivery of Joint Strategic Needs Assessment for the population of Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care System (ICS) including the mandated and non-mandated services for Public Health.
The Service Lead for knowledge will provide and build capacity in the use and production of health knowledge outputs for the population served by the Birmingham and Solihull health and care partners. The post holder will collaborate with partners and stakeholders at the system, place and locality levels to identify and prioritise issues and populations.
Using expertise in Health Intelligence (population measurement, statistical methods and data visualisation), epidemiology/public health and project management, the post holder will plan and lead the analysis and interpretation of health and socio-economic data to produce reports describing and explaining health needs. The post holder will clearly and coherently communicate the contents of these outputs, both verbally and in writing, in a manner that engages and facilitates collaboration between people from different professional and personal backgrounds, such as board members, clinicians, commissioners and service users.
