Riverside Leisure Centre is Chelmsford City Council’s flagship leisure facility, offering a variety of sporting activities where there is something for everyone. Every member of staff plays their role, working within a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

The successful applicant must be organised and confident with a flexible approach and a proven track record of working in a busy reception environment within the leisure industry. Receptionists ensure all bookings, administration and payment procedures are carried out thoroughly and accurately. With the ability to multi-task, the post holder will work well as part of the team greeting our customers to the centre, using a high quality customer service approach to ensure a friendly and welcoming environment. Experience of using computer packages, customer relations and the ability to process payments is essential, however additional training will be given.

Shifts are offered on a full-time basis of 37 hours per week, covering the opening hours of the centre, 5.30am – 10.30pm and will include earlies, lates and weekends so flexibility is a must. This position is offered on a fixed term contract for up to 7 months to cover maternity leave.
