As a Senior Social Worker:

  • You must know and apply relevant laws like the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • You'll handle complex cases, including assessments, care management, and risk management.
  • You'll excel in tough situations, managing risks while encouraging independence.
  • You'll support and supervise colleagues or students.
  • You'll build strong professional relationships to achieve good outcomes for individuals and their families.

Essential Requirements: 

  • Social Work Degree (or its equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England
  • Evidence of successful completion of Skills for Care ASYE Programme or equivalent
  • ASYE Assessor (Internal Moderation Panel verified practice) and/or Practice Educator and/or Consolidation of Professional Practice (or equivalent) and/or Approved Mental Capacity Act Professional (AMCP) or Best Interest Assessor or equivalents, including evidence of active practice.
  • Knowledge and application of the Care Act 2014 and other relevant Health & Social Care legislation, Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF), Standards of Proficiency for Social Workers and specialist Capabilities Frameworks
  • Full Driving Licence including Category B.
