Royal Greenwich Integrated Commissioning are looking for a system leader with experience in co-producing services with communities, excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills and a desire to make a difference in Greenwich through the implementation of our integrated commissioning approach across the local authority and the NHS. Through developing strong partnerships and utilising appropriate governance structures, you'll lead the commissioning and design of high-quality services that support Greenwich people to lead healthy, fulfilling and independent lives.
We are recruiting for a Strategic Commissioning and System Development Lead to join our Children's Services workforce for the portfolio area of Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing.
In Greenwich, we recognise the need to move from organisationally-driven commissioned service provision to system-based, joint, tailored and prioritised commissioned interventions. As a result, the Council and the South East London Integrated Care Board (ICB) have come together to create an integrated approach to commissioning services within Greenwich.
All our new commissioning roles are jointly funded by the Council and the ICB, resulting in an exciting opportunity to work on behalf of both health and the local authority for children and families across Greenwich.
We want to ensure that in Greenwich, people's health, care, learning, wellbeing, and relationships support them in living their best lives. To do this we need to be commissioning for transformational change in the way we deliver our services for people, neighbourhoods and place. Our ambition is to enable our residents, providers and other stakeholders to co-design the development of our services, based on what matters most to Greenwich people. This will mean a far greater focus on local services, join-up, outcomes, collaboration and impact. Preventing avoidable poor outcomes, promoting and protecting good health, learning, safety and wellbeing and tackling health and care inequalities are key priorities.
Among other duties, the post-holder will lead on Mental Health portfolio area and ensure its strategic development, clear priorities and targets are designed to improve the lives of children and families. Working collaboratively with the various provider markets, residents and colleagues across the system, you'll implement transformational change through commissioning for outcomes, including further integration of health, care and other forms of support. You'll have responsibility for delivering all commissioning activities in high value projects in your chosen portfolio area.
