We have undertaken a strategic review to consider new and better ways of working and delivering our services. We have also paid close attention to lessons learned over the last 18 months. This has shaped our Building our Future transformation programme and resulted in the creation of 3 new Strategic Director posts.

Reporting into the Chief Executive you will be responsible for shaping and managing the resources and support services which ensure the Council can operate as a cost effective and adaptable council. You will lead all initial customer contact across the council, design modern support services for rest of the organisation and facilitate delivery of council business in line with governance and audit requirements.  As the Section 151 Officer you will provide strategic financial leadership alongside technical knowledge and experience, using creative and modern thinking to ensure the council has a sustainable financial future.
