An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and flexible individual to join Wakefield Council Children & Young People Services as Systems and Report Development Officer.

What will be expected from me?

You will implement new developments in case management systems to support new business processes, improving and maximising functionality as well as developing new customer and professional portals.

In line with the change control process you will develop and deploy new forms and custom changes ensuring the effective development of case management systems meets the needs of teams and users within Children & Young People Services and there is functionality to evidence improved outcomes for children and young people across the area.

You will have practical experience in developing IT solutions using integrated tools such as form builders to increase functionality in using IT solutions to implement changes and further improve services.

What I might be doing?

The post will have a key focus on using our system and portals software to shape and redesign projects from many areas of the service, to meet our statutory requirements and our vision to deliver improved outcomes for Children and Young people. By providing changes and enhancements within the case management software that includes for Safeguarding Services, Early Help Service, Youth Justice Service and Education & Inclusion.

You will be able to develop excellent relationships with colleagues across the service to identify and define necessary system developments and ensure service user views inform changes and communicate with users about system developments.

With a knowledge of case management systems, you will understand how IT can improve services as well as current IT business trends and potential future developments.

You will join a supportive team within a service area with an opportunity to have a pivotal role in bringing more improvements to a variety of areas across Children & Young People’s Services.  There would be a mix of home and office working.  The office is based within a few minutes of Wakefield Westgate station.
