City of York Council are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Highway Asset Management Team to help assist in the delivery of the asset management service across the City.

Working as part of our friendly and focussed team, you will:

• Assist in the development and compilation of annual major maintenance capital programmes of works for highway assets.
• Help to maintain and manage highway asset inventory records.
• Be involved in organising the various annual condition surveys and assist with the analysis of asset and condition data sets.

• Assist in the production of appropriate strategic plans and policies for highway maintenance and annual capital investment programmes.
• Liaise with members of the public, Ward Members, Parish Councils and Residents Associations to promote works and deal with any resulting enquiries.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
