Doncaster Council is currently seeking to recruit Waking Night Children’s Residential Officers to be employed in one of our children’s homes.

You will work under the supervision and advice of the Registered Manager, Deputy Manager and senior residential care officer, to work sensitively as a team member in providing a warm caring enabling environment designed to meet the emotional, social and physical needs of looked after children and young people.

Some duties consist of general housekeeping including washing and ironing of the young people clothes, cleaning the home, completing paperwork for children’s files and other clerical tasks. You will be expected to have good communication skills and basic IT skills, be able to work independently with support of a sleeping in member of staff, and complete tasks set out on their shift plan.
