As an Executive Director at Publica, you will help us to transform the way place based services are delivered across our four partner Councils (Cotswold District, Forest of Dean District, West Oxfordshire District and Cheltenham Borough).  Importantly, you’ll champion local needs and deliver better outcomes for our communities.

You will join our senior management team and our company board.  You will have the experience to contribute to both strategic planning and service delivery.  From housing to zero carbon initiatives and regeneration, you will oversee place-shaping projects that directly benefit local residents and businesses. You will bring real gravitas and political acumen to the role, ensuring that our project governance framework is implemented across the organisation.  Plus, you will be our Relationship Lead Director for Cotswold District Council. Here you will act as our locality lead, working closely with the Council’s CEO and cabinet members and have an even greater impact on a whole range of issues.

The scale of the role is huge, in a small team across four partner councils, we are always rebalancing needs and priorities.  The opportunities for change are also huge.  With relevant qualifications and real experience in delivering the goods, you may already be working at director level or you may be a step-up candidate for whom Publica is an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to function at the highest level, with politicians and stakeholders in a shared service environment.  You will be able to confidently network and negotiate at all levels, and manage your own workload and priorities in a demanding situation.   You will be a politically astute problem-solver who can build strong relationships with members and representatives, both internally and externally.  By developing positive relationships with colleagues, councils and clients, you will forge new pathways and release previously untapped potential.
