We’ve lots of great stories to tell and communities to celebrate. And we’re looking for a highly creative person to manage our social media channels to bring them to life.

We’re an award-winning Communications team. We can offer you a role where you can create, bring your own ideas, and try new things. Where no two days are ever the same. And where you’ll be trusted to work right across the Council to promote loads of different events and services.

We have more than 80k followers across our social media channels. With your help driving forward our social media strategy we’ll grow this even more.

You’ll continuously improve our channels. Find new ways to reach our diverse audiences. Confidently evaluate our audience engagement. And respond quickly to emerging social trends.

Above all you’ll be a great storyteller. Your content will be exciting, use a mix of techniques to communicate across different platforms, and help make sure our channels are accessible to all.  

You’ll be able to work independently. Be comfortable adapting to fast-changing situations. And be able to handle a range of competing priorities.

Ideally, you’ll have worked in a large organisation and understand the needs of both internal and external customers.
