Psychological Informed Partnership Approach (PIPA) Practice Supervisor – Children & Families Service

An exciting position has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated Practice Supervisor to join the PIPA Team. You will be working in a multi-discipline team that is dedicated to improving outcomes for our children, young people, families and their carers. The Children and Families Service has a clear practice model to ensure solution focussed, strength-based practice. We are looking for a Practice Supervisor who can lead and drive the team to ensure we offer a unique service to our families, ‘working with and not doing to’ and supporting them within their homes rather than a clinical appointment-based approach.
One of the primary aspects of the role is to supervise practitioners within the PIPA service, which includes psychologist and advanced practitioners. The role will ensure the effective delivery of the work across the county, which will include prioritising needs of children and service, whilst ensuring relevant policies and procedures are followed. The successful applicant will work in partnership with colleagues in Health to ensure comprehensive delivery of the PIPA service.
Another significant part of the role is to manage risk and to support practitioners in managing risk, developing practice, as well as leading and mentoring colleagues in reaching appropriate decisions. Your key tasks will also include quality assurance and performance management, being involved in care planning, as well as chairing multi agency meetings where needed.
You will be suitably qualified (DIPSW/CQSW/Masters/Degree in Social work) and preferably have supervisory or management experience, as well as being able to evidence skills and knowledge in line with the job specification. You will have a passion for working with children and young people to create brighter futures for them, their families and carers whilst contributing to the on-going development of our high standards of practice.
