Could you be the innovative graduate who’s ready to turn bold ideas into real-world AI solutions that help transform how local services are delivered?

If you’re someone who has graduated in the past two years and have exposure to AI. You are excited about the future of technology and love diving into the world of AI, then this role might just be your perfect match. Maybe you've already tinkered with tools like Copilot or Agentforce, or you're eager to learn. If you enjoy turning complex ideas into clear, engaging presentations and thrive on connecting with others, you’ll fit right in.

What’s the role about?

This role sits within the council’s ICT service, which plays a vital role in driving digital transformation across the organisation. The service is all about harnessing the power of technology—including artificial intelligence—to improve how the council operates and delivers services to the community. Its purpose is to explore, implement and support innovative and secure AI solutions that align with the council’s strategic goals. As a Graduate, you’ll help bring this vision to life by working on real-world projects that enhance efficiency, support decision-making and create smarter, more responsive public services.

What will your day look like?

No two days will be the same. One day you might be deep in research, exploring the latest AI trends and figuring out how they could benefit the council. The next, you could be brainstorming with different departments to uncover real-world problems that AI can help solve. You’ll get hands-on with tools like Copilot, Copilot Studio and Agentforce, testing and refining AI agents and even leading training sessions to help others get the most out of these technologies. Along the way, you’ll document your work, support users and share your insights.

Who are we looking for?

We’re on the lookout for a curious and motivated graduate who’s ready to dive into the world of AI. You might be wrapping up your degree or have recently graduated, but what really matters is your passion for artificial intelligence and its potential to transform the way we work. You’re someone who enjoys solving problems, thinking analytically and bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Communication is key—you know how to connect with people, explain complex ideas clearly and work well in a team. You’re also committed to growing your skills and staying ahead of the curve in this fast-moving field. If you’ve got an interest in how AI fits into the public sector, especially around governance and ethics, that’s a big plus too.

Why join us?

Joining our team means embracing a role where your innovative ideas, curiosity, and professional growth are highly valued. You will be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team dedicated to leveraging technology to significantly impact public service delivery. You will be integral to this journey, engaging in meaningful projects, collaborating across various departments and honing your skills in a flexible and inclusive environment. This position offers more than just a graduate role—it is the commencement of an enriching and impactful career.
