Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking to recruit a Recovery Officer to work within the Revenues Team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of Westmorland and Furness Council’s Revenues and Benefits service.
In this role, you will be assisting with the collection and recovery of Council Tax, Business Rates and the Bid levy in accordance with Legislation and the Councils policies and procedures. You will have excellent communication skills and able to discuss debts in a polite, professional and sensitive way.
You will need to put our customers at the heart of everything you do, and provide advice and assistance in person, by telephone or other communication channels. You should have previous experience within a Revenues or Benefits role and ideally be proficient in the use of a Revenues system. Remote/hybrid working will be considered for the right candidate.
