you will shape the places, services and experiences that matter most to our
residents; from cleaner, greener environments to cultural vitality and strong
community pride.
You will lead one of our most visible directorates, covering:
● Community Services
● Culture, Libraries & Events
● Environment, Leisure & Green Infrastructure
With major programmes underway across the Borough, you’ll play a central role
in delivering our Powering Our Future transformation and driving innovation,
resilience and excellence across services that touch every household.
We’re looking for an authentic, inspiring and politically astute senior leader with:

● Significant experience at senior level in local government or similar public
services
● A track record of delivering high quality, customer facing services
● Experience of transformation at scale
● Strong partnership building and strategic leadership skills
● The confi dence, judgement and resilience to lead in a complex and fast
moving environment
