Are you an EP who is interested in making real change for children, young people, families and schools, at individual and systems level?
This is an exciting time within North Yorkshire Council’s Educational Psychology service. We are a valued team within the Council and are committed to growing our EP team to provide a broad and effective service to make a difference to the lives of children and young people in North Yorkshire. We are looking for innovative psychologists to join us in shaping the direction of our educational psychology service for the future.
About the role
As an Educational Psychologist you will join our central Educational Psychology team, and work alongside a wider multi-agency team, making a valued contribution to developments within the team. Currently, our roles include working with our inclusive, additionally resourced settings that are an integral part of mainstream schools to embed consistent, inclusive practices. These settings are currently referred to as Targeted Mainstream Provisions, or TMPs. Support to these settings will be mainly systemic, although casework will also be provided.
We have expanded our service offer via new funding streams for more proactive/targeted work developed through national and local projects. Our vision, is to develop a creative educational psychology offer, underpinned by consultation, empowering others, and sustainability.
We are also committed to providing our team with CPD opportunities. The team recently commissioned CPD from Kensington and Chelsea’s Bi-Borough Education Psychology Services to deliver a CPD day on consultation; the second part of this training will take place in March.
It really is a great time to join our growing and ambitious service and contribute to positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND in North Yorkshire.
