The STPM team delivers a wide range of improvement projects, provider training, events and system-wide initiatives that strengthen the adult social care market.

As a Project Support Officer, you will provide day-to-day project and administrative support across all areas of the STPM work. You will help coordinate provider training and meetings, support events and projects, manage data and reporting requirements, and assist with ordering equipment, processing invoices, and maintaining efficient administrative systems.

You will also support system rollouts, assist with monitoring returns, help prepare documentation for audits, and work with providers and partner agencies to support effective administration of programmes.

You will be part of a busy, supportive team making a real difference to the adult social care sector in County Durham.

We encourage you to contact Diane Moore via email at diane.moore@durham.gov.uk to arrange an informal discussion about the role.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

  • Experience in clerical/administrative work, including finance systems and processes.
  • Substantial experience in a relevant role.
  • Confidence using a range of IT systems (Word, Excel, databases).
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with internal teams, providers and wider stakeholders.
  • Ability to gather, collate and record information accurately.
  • A confidential, professional approach.

Please refer to the full Person Specification for all essential and desirable criteria.

OUR OFFER TO YOU
We offer a competitive rewards package that includes attractive salaries, a generous annual leave entitlement of 27 days (rising to 32 after five years’ continuous local government service), membership of the excellent contributory career average Local Government Pension Scheme, and a range of flexible working arrangements including hybrid working (home and office) where applicable.
