Class Teacher & Digital Leader
Salary: Main Pay Scale + TLR 2a for Digital Leadership
Permanent, Full Time.

The Governing Body of this popular primary school seek to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic, creative and motivated Teacher and Digital Leader. At Wheatley Hill, we believe that quality learning takes place both inside and outside the classroom. We are looking for a practitioner, who is an excellent KS2 practitioner and eager to lead our Digital Transformation.
The Successful Candidate Will:

• Embody "The Wheatley Hill Way": caring for each other, looking after our learning environment and always doing the right thing.
• Foster "Creative Behaviours" in pupils, including questioning, problem-solving and envisaging "What If".
• Lead the implementation of our Digital Tool Accessibility Matrix, utilising platforms like Google for Education, Google Workspace, Gemini, Canva and Century AI to enhance pupil access.
• Balance high-precision teaching of Reading, Writing and Maths with highly creative, hands-on afternoon sessions.
• We Offer:
• A significant training package including curriculum intent, assessment, and specialist SEND support.
• A "Necessary for some, useful for all" scaffolding approach that supports workload and pupil progress.
• A commitment to "Active Marking," prioritising instant feedback over heavy post-lesson paperwork.

 
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. 
 
Visits to see our "Communication Friendly" classrooms and discuss the future of this role with the Headteacher, Mr. Scarr, are strongly encouraged.
