Durham County Council are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to manage the Council’s in-house fleet of minibuses, drivers and transport booking service.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
We operate a small fleet of passenger carrying vehicles for adult day care, home to school and our demand responsive Link2 and Access Bus services. We also provide a telephone call centre to book transport, including the Patient Transport Service for GP practices across the Count Durham.
We are looking for someone with experience in running fleet and transport operations in a safe, efficient and compliant manner. You will have a working knowledge of Operator Licence requirements, transport legislation and understanding of vehicle and driver compliance. You will also have experience of managing a team of staff and dealing with members of the public. Experience of working in a call centre environment would be an advantage.
