Cassop Primary School & Nursery is a small village school with mixed age classes and is set between the villages of Cassop and Quarrington Hill. We have the drive and determination to offer our children the best education possible.

The Governors seek to appoint a qualified teacher on a fixed term contract (ECT welcome to apply).  The successful candidate should be committed, enthusiastic, and able to demonstrate high standards of classroom practice and have experience of subject leadership.
 
Duties and responsibilities include:
 
- Carry out the duties of a class teacher as outlined in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document including meeting all of the Teachers’ Standards 2014.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn and how this impacts on teaching.
- Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions and demonstrate consistently positive attitudes, values and behaviour.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility for promoting high standards of literacy, articulacy and the correct use of standard English.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues, working as part of a team in all aspects of school development.
- Support our children to develop their understanding of their rights and to promote the rights of others at all times, in accordance with the school’s RRS (behaviour) policy.Visits to our school are welcomed and strongly encouraged and can be arranged by contacting our school office.
