Come and join the Children with Disabilities Team in an Ofsted rated ‘good’ Children and Families Service. We are determined to continue our improvement journey in children’s services and achieve our ambitions and objectives for every child in Westmorland and Furness.
To support the Families First Partnership Programme reforms our vision is to create a multi-disciplinary team to support disabled children and their families in the right way, at the right time. We are recruiting three alternatively qualified practitioners to the children with disabilities service. These practitioners will increase the breath of specialist knowledge and expertise within the team. Being able to bring an alternative set of skills from perhaps from other sectors such as health or education. In return we will offer you support through regular and high quality supervision, opportunities for development and the chance to make a real difference to the lives of disabled children and their families across Westmorland and Furness.
Our Children with Disabilities Team is area based, meaning you work within local communities so will be able to build links with families and partner agencies. It is really important to us that Westmorland and Furness is a great place to be a child and grow up; a place of opportunity where young people are able to live happy and productive lives and a place where young people will want to live and work in the future.
