The inspection highlighted our clear vision for improving outcomes, tackling inequalities and driving continuous improvement across the system.

While we are proud of what we have achieved, we are even more excited about what comes next. This is an opportunity to lead one of the Council's most visible and influential Directorates.

As Director of Adults, Health and Wellbeing, you will lead a diverse portfolio spanning Adult Social Care, Public Health, Housing, Fairer Stockton-on-Tees and Strategic Commissioning. You will play a critical role in tackling some of the most significant challenges facing our Borough, from health inequalities and prevention to safeguarding, independence and community wellbeing.

You'll join a high-performing Corporate Management Team that believes in collaboration, challenge and collective leadership. We work as one organisation, not as separate Directorates and Services. We value ideas, encourage innovation and give our leaders the freedom to make a difference.

We're looking for a strategic leader with significant leadership experience in adult social care who can see beyond organisational boundaries, build influential partnerships and drive meaningful change. Someone who combines commercial awareness with public service values. Someone who understands the importance of strong governance but is equally motivated by improving outcomes for people and communities.

The successful candidate will become our Statutory Director of Adult Social Care and Caldicott Guardian, providing visible leadership across the organisation whilst helping shape the future direction of the Council and the Borough.
