WHAT IS INVOLVED
The Administrative Support Officers will provide administration support to both The Adult Protection (AP) Team and the Deprivation of Liberty Service (DoLs).
The posts will provide administrative support to a team of Independent Lead Officers and Best Interests Assessors in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities under the County Durham interagency Safeguarding Adults procedures and the Mental Capacity Act.
The support to the AP Team can involve data processing and co-ordinating of information as well as supporting AP Meetings and of which we would provide training for. The DoLS work is very process driven, with work being received via a team mailbox and information being processed using logs and entering onto the adult care database
You will become part of the Business Services within Durham County Council, which provides a centralised and comprehensive business support service designed to add value to all Durham County Council services. Due to the vast areas, we work in across the council, there is opportunities to be a part of a multitude of teams and brings with it the possibility of career progression following different routes.

WHAT WILL I NEED
You should have BTEC National in Public Admin, NVQ Business Administration Level 3 (or equivalent relevant qualification)

HYBRID WORKING (if applicable)
Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
