We have an exciting role on offer within our Neighbourhoods team as a Area Care Operative Level 1.

Do you enjoy outdoor work? If so and you can demonstrate some practical knowledge of horticulture/gardening, cleansing and/or maintaining the outdoor environment.

Please note that training may be available, however experience or qualifications in the following areas is desirable.

Use of handheld machinery – Pedestrian grass cutters, Pedestrian Street sweepers, Strimmer/Hedge Trimmer/Air Blower etc.

PA1, PA6, PA6A & PA2, PA2A Chemical Application.

Experience with Fine Turf maintenance i.e., Bowling Greens.

Chainsaw use.

Needlestick trained.

Asbestos awareness.

First Aid at Work.

Moving and Handling.

37 hours a week, Monday to Thursday - 7.30am to 3.30pm, Friday - 7.30am to 3.00pm.

Please note this is a fixed term post due to end on 30.10.2026.
