Are you ready to lead legal and democratic services at the heart of a large, ambitious council whilst championing strong governance delivered with pace and purpose?

We seek an outstanding, legally qualified leader to join our Corporate Leadership Team as Assistant Chief Executive and be designated the Council’s statutory Monitoring Officer.

Operating at the centre of the council, you will provide authoritative advice to Members, the Chief Executive and senior leaders on complex legal, constitutional and governance matters.

Alongside your statutory responsibilities, you will lead and modernise services across governance, constitutional compliance, corporate risk and legal services.
