We have an exciting role on offer within our Public Health team as a Behavioural Science Officer.
Smoke Free South Tees is a high-performing, innovative Specialist Stop Smoking Service supporting residents across Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland to quit smoking and live healthier lives. We work closely with the NHS, voluntary sector, local partners, and communities to reduce the significant health inequalities caused by tobacco.
Public Health South Tees is committed to using evidence-based approaches, behaviour change science, and prevention-focused interventions to improve the wellbeing across our communities.
We are seeking a Behavioural Science Officer to bring specialist expertise in behaviour change methodology, behavioural insights, and intervention design to our Stop Smoking Service.
This is an exciting new role that will shape the future of how we support residents to quit, reduce relapse, and tackle long-standing inequalities in smoking prevalence.
You will work across the service to improve engagement, design innovative approaches, enhance outcomes, and support the delivery of our ambition for a Smokefree South Tees.
To be successful in this role you need a degree or postgraduate qualification in behavioural science, health psychology, public health, or a related field.
