Place are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to assist us in continuing to deliver excellent quality business support services to the Highways Design Team.
The position offers a varied and interesting workload that will challenge and develop your existing skills base. You will be joining a small team who are supportive and keen to facilitate your development.
What will I be doing?
- Assist in supporting the new Time Management system for staff across the whole of the Place department for financial and performance management.
- Process information and provide management support in respect of the new system.
- Update policies and procedures in accordance with financial regulations and the Data Protection Act.
- Assist in the training of staff on systems and procedures and the production of necessary training documentation required.
- Provide Management information reports and effective support on specialised systems or procedures.
- Provide responses to enquiries from suppliers, customers and service users.
- Work on Excel spreadsheets and databases.
- Use Corporate systems SAP Finance and SAP Orderpoint.
- Provide day to day office administrative support.
What skills and experience do I need to have?
- Qualified to level 3 in business administration or similar qualification with two years experience.
- Effective communication skills as you will need to liaise with service users and internal and external agencies.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Accuracy & attention to detail with great numeracy skills.
- Experience in using MS Office systems with good general information & technology skills, which includes using a range of IT systems and packages.

Our Business Support Office is contractually based at Station Road, Darley Dale in Matlock, Derbyshire, but this post is classified as flexible and so there'll be an opportunity to discuss home working arrangements at interview.
