The governors of the Durham Dales Partnership are seeking to appoint a caretaker/cleaner for Woodland Primary School. This vacancy has arisen due to the retirement of our current caretaker.
We are looking for someone with a great work ethic and a commitment to teamwork to take on this role and to join our school community. We wish to appoint someone who will take pride in caring for our school building and premises.
The successful candidate will become part of a committed school team. We need someone who will thrive on continuing to make the school premises a safe and well-maintained place to learn and work for all of our pupils and staff. The successful applicant will be someone who meets our essential criteria (and desirable, if possible) as outlined in the person specification for this post. Annual leave to be taken in school closure periods.
The working hours for this role will be 20 hours per week and the normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 7-9am and 3:30-5:30pm.
Applications are welcomed from those with caretaking experience, those with experience of similar work or with transferable skills appropriate for this role.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
