Caretaker
Grade 4 £25,583 - £26,824 (pending pay award)
Permanent, full time - 37 hours per week, arranged on a split shift pattern to accommodate the opening and locking of the premises. Split shift: 06:00-10:00 and 14:30-18:00.

The Head Teacher and Governors of Evergreen Primary School are seeking to appoint an organised, reliable and highly motivated Caretaker at our Bishop Auckland site, to join our dedicated school team.
Evergreen Primary School is a supportive specialist setting for children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Complex Autism (ASD). Our school benefits from accessible grounds which are used by all year groups to support learning, wellbeing and engagement.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our school provides a safe, secure, clean and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Duties will include:
• Ensuring the security of the school buildings and grounds
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site
• Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs and general caretaking duties
• Undertaking regular health and safety checks
• Supporting the effective day to day operation of the school site

• Understands the importance of maintaining a calm, safe and welcoming environment, particularly within a specialist school setting
