Chief Executive
Salary:
£175,000 – 195,000 plus returning officer allowance

Gloucestershire is the envy of many and we’re looking for an exceptional new Chief Executive to take things to the next level.

Our ambitions are for Gloucestershire to be a magnet for innovation and investment, to lead the pack when it comes to innovation and continuous improvement; leveraging data and technology to deliver transformation. As a county we have it all; thriving business hubs, natural beauty, history, culture, and opportunity with great geographical connectivity.

As you lead us forwards, you will be building on an enviable track record of stable leadership and a solid financial foundation – offering a rare opportunity for a leader whose ambitions match our own, to make a lasting difference for Gloucestershire. We know that a fundamental part of our future centres on celebrating diversity and inclusion and harnessing the power that comes with it; you’ll share our passion for that.

As Chief Executive, you’ll lead our talented senior team, setting the standards and ethos for colleagues across the organisation to follow. You’ll be able to be a credible leader on the local, regional and national landscape, positioning Gloucestershire for continued success.

As well as welcoming applications from experienced Chief Executives, we also welcome applications from candidates for whom this would be their first Chief Executive position. The ability to lead an innovative agenda and successfully transform complex organisations and systems is more important to us than previous tenure as a Chief Executive.

For a confidential conversation, please contact Seb Lowe (07464 543 442) or Delicia Coutinho (07741 264 892) or please click apply below

Closing Date: Sunday 12 January.
