Cleaner 
Full time, 37 hours per week, term time only.
Salary Grade 1 (£24,796 pro rata) 
Permanent subject to a successful probationary period.

We have a vacancy for 1 full time cleaner primarily on the Chilton school site. The post will permanent following a successful 6 months probationary period.

Elemore Hall School is a LA maintained special school for secondary aged pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Many of our pupils have additional general or specific learning difficulties. The school is split across three sites within County Durham offering education for up to 200 pupils in total. There is currently one vacancy on the Chilton site.

We require a cleaner to join a small team of staff responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of the school. The post is term time only and full time at 37 hours per week. The hours are negotiable but will fall between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

Standard term time only pay is calculated on the basis of the following:
• Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus
• Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus
• Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days)
Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave. For example:

Calculation for employees with less than 5 years’ service:
38 weeks (term time) + 27 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 45 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments

Calculation for employees with more than 5 years’ service:
38 weeks (term time) + 32 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 46 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
