Join Our Compassionate Team as a Cook for Elderly Persons' Homes
We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Cook to join our team, reporting to the Unit Manager, and contributing to the well-being of residents in our elderly persons' homes.
Responsibilities and Impact:
- As a Casual Cook, you will work closely with the staff team to provide nutritious and wholesome home cooked food, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Your role will involve establishing people’s individual preferences and choices with residents and where appropriate staff teams to ensure that individuals nutritious needs are met.
- Your caring approach will extend to the residents, where you will promote their rights and preferences.
- You'll also be involved in ordering, creating new menus, completing appropriate documentation in line with your role to make sure the kitchen and catering.

What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Knowledge of providing a well-balanced diet in line with Food Safety legislation
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Be able to read.
- Be able to record information.
- Be able to communicate clearly.
- Be able to oversee other kitchen staff on a day-day basis.
- Be able to work as both a team member and individually.
- Be able to provide emotional support to the residents of the Home.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of safe moving and handling techniques.
- Knowledge of basic first aid.
- Knowledge of preparing special diets and diets to meet specific cultural needs.
