Permanent- Full Time.
Required to start September 2026 or soon as possible thereafter pending DBS clearance.
Aclet Close Nursery School is a Maintained Nursery School with a Headteacher and Governing body. We are looking for an exceptional person to fill this role. You will be a qualified and experienced Early Years Teacher, who is looking for an opportunity to further develop abilities in leadership and management. The successful candidate will be expected to act in place of the Headteacher in their absence.
The successful candidate will have:
• Successful experience at curriculum leadership level within a Primary School and / or Foundation Stage settings
• Experience of successful and co-operative working as a member of a team
• Experience of the successful leadership of change
• Track record of successfully developing and extending children’s learning and achievement
• Track record of actively promoting safeguarding procedures in a school
• Detailed knowledge of the structure and content of the current Early Years Foundation Stage including a knowledge of child development
• Have a good working knowledge of teaching children with Special Educational Needs and be willing to undertake the SENCO role
• Have an understanding and experience of observational assessment
• Ability to deliver enthusiastic, sensitive, resilient and appropriately focused leadership, whilst working with others
• Ability to initiate and lead change
• Evidence of building and sustaining effective working relationships with staff, parents, Governors and the wider community
• The desire to take an active part in the life of the school
• An enjoyment in working with children and families
• An enthusiasm for new concepts and approaches
• Commitment, flair, imagination and reliability.
