Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are passionate about enabling our communities to be more sustainable, resilient and to thrive.
Harnessing your imagination and innovation to deliver positive impacts to the lives of our citizens now and into the future is at the heart of who we are and what we do; and made us UK Council of the Year 2024 (iESE Public Sector Transformation Awards).
Do you share our values, culture and ambition…
Are you a visionary leader, who as our first Director of Place, can shape the future of our communities and improve the lives of all our residents?
This highly influential new role brings together responsibility for our key levers of planning, communities, wellbeing and the economy.
Collaborating with our communities, partners and stakeholders, you will need to integrate our approach to ensure the challenges faced by both rural and urban communities are supported strategically and ensure focus on the needs and opportunities specific to each place.
You will translate political objectives and priorities into initiatives that create thriving, resilient communities and a sustainable economy, while delivering improved life outcomes across our districts.
