31 hours and 40 minutes per week, Monday to Friday 8.50am to 3.40pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
Warmsworth Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the team and make a difference!
The Governors of Warmsworth Primary School wish to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching assistant to join our inclusion team and take the lead in our Forest School and THRIVE provision.
The successful candidate will be working under the instruction and guidance of the SENCO and inclusion team to support our most vulnerable children both in and out of class to support their social and emotional learning, as well as their academic progress. They will be responsible for planning and overseeing the delivery, organisation and smooth running of our Forest School, planning and delivering personalised THRIVE support sessions, and working under the instruction and guidance of teaching staff to support teaching and learning to groups and whole classes and provide cover for classes across school, as required.
Warmsworth is a large mainstream primary school with over 460 children on roll, providing education for children aged between 3 and 11 years old.
The successful candidate will:
Be an enthusiastic and motivated individual, with an ability to self-evaluate their own practice and learning needs
Have the passion to make a difference and a commitment to inclusion and equity.
Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with pupils
Have a calm, flexible, pleasant manner and be able to form relationships quickly with our children and staff
Have high standards of themselves and others and work well as part of a team
Have experience, or an interest and understanding, of supporting primary aged children with additional needs
Be a Level 3 Forest School Practitioner (or be committed to undertaking additional training to become one)
Be a THRIVE trained practitioner (or be committed to undertaking additional training to become one)
Have experience of leading learning with groups and/or a class of children across FS, KS1 and KS2
Have good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Mathematics to Grade C or above, or equivalent)
