Lunchtime supervisor
Grade 1- £24,796 (Pro-rata)
Permanent, 3.75 hours per week Monday to Wednesday, 11:55- 13:10
Required to start 01/06/2026 or sooner if possible pending DBS clearance.
 
We are looking for a calm, dedicated and cheerful person to fulfil the role of lunchtime supervisor in our small rural school. Our children are caring, well behaved and enthusiastic.

The applicant will be expected to follow the school’s policies including those on behaviour management and child protection guidance and procedures.
 
You will be expected to:
•         Maintain a safe, calm, and pleasant environment during the lunchtime period, including cleaning spillages as necessary
•         Support pupils in developing positive table manners and appropriate mealtime behaviours
•         Supervise pupils during playtimes, both in the playground and indoors during wet weather
•         Promote children’s play by organising and participating in games and activities
•         Attend to minor injuries and complete records as required
 
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. 
 
This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure.  You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.
