About the Role:

Join our friendly school catering team and help create nutritious, home-cooked meals that fuel children for learning and help them thrive every day.  

We're looking for a Mobile Cook to work across a number of school kitchens in the Boroughbridge area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking, leading a team, and making a real difference in their local community.  

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are the same in this varied and rewarding role. You'll be responsible for:

• Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious school meals using locally sourced ingredients
• Leading and supporting kitchen teams to deliver an excellent service
• Serving meals to pupils and staff with a friendly, customer-focused approach
• Managing food orders and stock levels
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Completing food safety records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation  

As a Mobile Cook, you'll travel between schools, providing support wherever it's needed and helping ensure every kitchen delivers a fantastic dining experience for children.  

We're seeking someone who is:

• Passionate about preparing quality food
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently
• A confident team leader with good communication skills
• Committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer service

• Typical hours between 7.30am and 2.00pm
• No evenings
• No weekends
• Term time only
• Regular overtime opportunities available 

This term-time-only role is ideal for anyone looking for family-friendly working hours while still enjoying the security and benefits of a permanent position. You will receive equal monthly pay throughout the year, even during school holiday periods.
