Policy and procedure coordinator
18.5 hours ( working pattern to be agreed)
 
Are you a qualified Social Worker with experience of working with children , young people and families  looking for a part time non case holding role ? A fantastic new opportunity has arisen and we are looking for  an organised , IT confident , autonomous ,  person with an eye for detail  to lead on the coordination of our policy and procedures and practice guidance   to enhance our dynamic safeguarding and professional practice team. 

 
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
You will join a small, dynamic  team who focus on the practice and  support of  practitioners to improve outcomes for children , young people and families and you will specifically be responsible for the continued development and update of policy, procedure, guidance documents and practitioner toolboxes which underpin excellent practice in Children’s Social Care. You will work in partnership with leaders and practitioners to ensure these essential documents are current, accurate, adhere to legislation, guidance  and the national practice framework  and are easy to understand.
 
You will be  responsible for managing the Trix procedures, Resource Library and all practice guidance . You will also lead on the revision and update of the How We Practice in Durham guidance. You will ensure that procedures and guidance are accessible to all staff and lead on training and support to promote confident and consistent use across the service.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
You will  need to bring your wisdom and experience of being a qualified and registered Social Worker with experience of working with children , young people and  families. You will need to be IT confident , organised and a great communicator  as this role will require you to work in planned way to deadlines to produce high quality documents and facilitate workshops so that leaders and practitioners  know how to access our policy , procedure and practice guidance. You will join a small team but able to confidently work autonomously. In Durham we are committed to strengths based , relational , trauma aware practice where the voice of the child is central. INTERVIEWS
Interviews will be held on 11th February and true to our commitment to co production will involve young people
